The self clinching stud is a threaded fastener wit a combined locking ring under the head.
When pressed into sheet material the platform displaces material into the locking ring, securing the fastener in place.
This results in a high torque and push out resistant fixing.
Self clinching studs Flush Head is where the embedded head is flush with the face of the material and Non Flush Head
where a larger non flush fitting head is used. The larger head is used in high strength applications which require a better
pull through resistance.
The standard studs are manufactured from heat treated carbon steel
Self clinching studs are easily assembled with any squeeze press and can be used as a suitable alternative to
replace capacitor discharge studs and weld bolts at lower installation costs.
Flush head self clinching studs are easily assembled with any squeeze action press using a flat faced punch
and die with sufficient pressure to embed the head into the surface of the sheet material.
The force required is variable depending on the size of stud and sheet material being used, excessive force should be avoided.
